MEET THE VISIONARIES BEHIND OUR MISSION: OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Joseph Conduah is a senior consultant specializing in Technology Program and Project Management. As a board member and co-chair of the Mann Educational Opportunity Fund (MEOF), he has played a key role in student selection and expanding MEOF’s impact, with a focus on mentorship for students of color. Conduah also volunteers as a track and field coach and guest speaker for the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Focus on Fatherhood initiative, with past involvement in organizations like 100 Black Men of Madison and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Marilyn is an educational leader and engineering professional with expertise in project management, staff development, and stakeholder engagement. She holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology and is a licensed educator in Wisconsin. Marilyn served as a school board member (2015-2021) and has volunteered extensively with local and national organizations, including the Mann Board. Passionate about excellence and innovation, she works to create opportunities that empower individuals and communities.
Ka Z Xiong is a public health program director. She serves as the Secretary on the Mann Educational Opportunity Fund (MEOF) Board and is committed to addressing disparities in academic outcomes through the work.
David Dahmer is co-founder and editor-in-chief of Madison365, a nonprofit media outlet for Greater Madison’s communities of color. He was also editor-in-chief of The Madison Times Weekly, a multicultural newspaper. Dahmer has written over 1,000 articles, won national awards, and served as president of Centro Hispano’s board. A UW-Madison graduate, he has received the NAACP Unsung Hero Award and the Club TNT Waterbearer Award for his community leadership.
